Disney Cruise!!!!

For Christmas last year, Grandpa and Grandma Barrett surprised the entire Barrett family with a gift of a Disney Cruise!  Yahoo!  We were pretty excited!!!  We've been looking forward to it all winter and now the day had finally come!!!! Yippee!!  THANKS GRANDMA AND GRANDPA!

At the airport ready to head to Florida!
Lauren and Pierce lucked out!  Grandpa bought an extra ticket and Pierce was able to come along!   They were thrilled and Alli, Calvin and Lindsay also thought it was a great deal--Pierce is super fun to play with :)

Getting ready to get on the ship!

On the upper deck as we begin to disembark.
The other direction--it was so windy!
Alli on her balcony.

At dinner the first night--Artist's Pallet
Lindsay and Pierce cheesing it up for the picture.

It was a fun dinner--Disney does it up right.  Us old folks were trying hard not to pay attention to the motion of the boat that first night--that was the only time I could feel it.
These two had some fun!!!
The animal towels were so much fun to discover each day :)
Disney's private island was a ton a fun!  The whole family relaxed and enjoyed a beautiful day.

Heaven

Heading back to the boat after a long day of fun in the sun :)
Love this guy. We had so much fun together on the cruise--the kids just took care of themselves for the most part--one benefit of having older kids.
At Downtown Disney's Lego Land killing time until the flight home.
Toy Story :)
The Hulk!!!

Spring Break in Moab

This year we wanted to go somewhere for Spring Break.  We don't always get to do that.  It seems like with Dad's work schedule or other things, we sometimes have to stay around home and look for something fun to do.  This year we headed out to Moab and it was so fun!
Dead Horse Point
Gorgeous!
Corona Arch--this was a fun hike the first evening we were there.
The kids all wanted to strike a yoga pose for some reason.  Maybe they were connecting with nature?
Delicate Arch
Calvin enjoying the breeze and the break--it was a bit of a hike to get there.
Glad we are together on this journey.
Alli with a "selfie"
Landscape arch was cool!
It almost felt like it would fall at any minute...
Fun vacation :)

We got to go to a Utah Jazz Basketball Game with Calvin and Lindsay.  I'm pretty sure it was Lindsay's first one.  Calvin is an avid fan and was excited to wear his jersey and cheer for his team inner awesome seats.  Fun family times :)

He looks pretty happy.

Christmas Fun

My all time favorite activity during the Christmas Season is to go to a Messiah Sing-a-Long.  I really LOVE the Messiah.  It just stirs my soul for some reason.  I remember going to it once as a little girl at BYU Hawaii and it just makes my Christmas to go.  We don't always make it every year, but if I am on my game, I try to make it happen.  Lauren alerted me to the performance at Abravenal Hall this year and we got tickets early :)  Loved it!
Walking through Temple Square on our way to the Messiah.
Lauren and Pierce in their own winter wonderland ;)
I have a weird smile, but I was just so excited to attend the Messiah!!!
The orchestra and choir--they were awesome!
Another must during the Christmas season--telling Santa if you've been good or bad!
Since I work at the Springville Library, I was able to call Jeff to bring the kids down when the lines weren't long.
A new family tradition--Wendy has the family over to her ward building for dinner of soups and warm bread and then Santa visits.  It is fun to still get together even after Grandma and Grandpa Bird can no longer host us all.  Look what Santa brought Jeff at our Clarke Christmas Eve dinner!! Lobster Bisque anyone?

Merry Christmas 2013

It typical Barrett fashion, we decided to take our Christmas Picture in December on the spur of the moment.  Literally, at church I said to the older girls, "Let's take our pictures after church.  What colors could we do?  Blues and grays?  Ok!"  We grabbed one of Alli's cute friends, Mariah, and went to the hill above our neighborhood and the Art Museum.  In about 45 minutes we were good!  Jeff set up the shots and Mariah snapped a bunch of shots.  We were soo happy when a couple turned out ok!

Love my family!!!

Ok, this one was for the 'awkward family photo' section...
We couldn't resist!

My kids are growing up so quickly!  Yikes!!!

Soo glad this guy still likes me after all these years!
