Mirror, Mirror...

So can you guess what we did today?

Yup! Lindsay got her second haircut! Don't worry, I won't keep informing you each time this happens in the future. This was a lot of hair cut, so...

Here she is all blown dry and enjoying a sucker from the salon.

Here's another attempt at me getting her smiling, but that sucker wasn't going anywhere! Sorry!

It makes me think...Don't you think we all would enjoy our journey a bit more if we got a sucker every time we did something?

The Magic of Drinking Fountains

Lindsay loves getting drinks at drinking fountains.

The problem is...she can't figure out why the water disappears just as she is about to drink...

Where did it go?

Then she really gets in there and it gets her whole face wet...

We won't even talk about what happens to her shirt!

Does she look like she's had her thirst quenched, yet?

I Love "Lucy"

Alli was Lucille Ball in her 5th grade Wax Museum on Friday. She was so excited about getting New York State, because her favorite show has been "I Love Lucy" ever since Aunt Sarah turned them onto it in April 2007! (Rich and Sarah watched the kids for us while we went to Italy. The kids had a wonderful time and picked up a few fun new interests, too!) She borrowed the outfit from a fellow Lucy Lover--Sarah Hash and the retro phone came from Aunt Ashli! Pretty Fun! She said she got pretty tired of holding her pose by the end of the day!

So Proud!

Here is a picture of my cute Alli right before the school spelling bee last Friday. She was one of 36 kids that qualified for the 4-6th grade bee. She practiced for two weeks to prepare and really worked hard. She did a great job, too! She didn't let her nerves get to her and she tied for second place! Each round I got more and more nervous! I couldn't get comfortable the entire time! My heart pounded and my stomach was flipping around. I am actually relieved she didn't win, because I don't think I would have made it if we had to go through another one of those spelling bees! It worked out for the best! Alli, my child that quickly gets over things, (although this one took a little while) soon pointed out to me that she wouldn't have to practice anymore! Way to enjoy the journey, Alli!

He Makes Me Laugh!

Calvin, Calvin, Calvin...That kid is funny! Last night Alli made a "Girls Only" sign for her door (You remember when you used to do that don't you?) and she made a sign for Calvin's door that said "Fun Zone." When Calvin was heading up to his room to get his pj's on, he noticed the sign and tore it off the door. He said, "Alli! There's going to be too many people in my room all the time, if it says "Fun Zone!" I don't want lots of people in my room!"

I guess you never know..."If you build it they will come!" Sorry, Alli--nice try!

Where's Jeff?

Here's a clue...

And another one...

Give up? Okay, I'll tell ya! He's got a buddy who developed a golf caddy that attaches to a bike. So he's on a promotional tour for "Towcaddy." He's golfing 18 holes a day and biking (with the towcaddy)to the next golf course destination in Florida--Monday thru Thursday! Sounds good, huh? Check his group out on http://towcaddy.blogspot.com/! Some people know how to enjoy the journey--eh?
