Can you guess what we've been up to?
We just got back from a really fun cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. We went to the Princess Cays, St. Maartin, St. Thomas and Grand Turk. We did a lot of snorkeling, eating, relaxing, eating, site-seeing, eating, window shopping, and did I mention eating some more? We had beautiful weather the entire time and returned to cold and snow Sunday night! This cruise was a first for both of us, so we were really happy to not get sea sick. Unfortunately, that meant our appetites were in perfect order, so the endless supply of food was a huge downfall! How am I supposed to resist hot pizza, cookies, ice-cream, etc? Needless to say, I am not looking forward to my doctor's appointment today when I get to be weighed--I seriously gained about 5 pounds! That's what happens when you enjoy the journey a little too much, folks!

Don't worry, Mom!
Calvin found his long lost savings this weekend. He decided he wanted to buy himself a Hot Wheels car with it. I asked him how much money he had..."$2.38" was his reply. I pointed out that when he bought his Hot Wheels car he would only have $1.00 left. I asked if he was sure he wanted to spend more than half of his money on the car. He quickly put all my worries to rest when he said, "Don't worry Mom, I've got my whole life to earn more money." Words to live by in today's society!

May I check your bag, sir?
Jeff was in Seattle last weekend for a conference and left his bag out for another trip this weekend. Lindsay was playing with it last night and Jeff asked her if she wanted to get in and go with Daddy on his trip? She quickly climbed right in and held perfectly still. She didn't even move! I think she thought she might really get to go!
When she'd been in there for what I thought was long enough, I started to zip up the bag thinking she'd want to get out. When she didn't move or say anything I unzipped it--then she finally said, "Zip it, Mom." So we zipped it as much as we dared and Lauren pretended to take Lindsay on a trip with her.
Such a funny little bunny!
