Yup, it's started! Calvin is officially a CUB SCOUT! He's been more excited about this aspect of being 8 than almost all the others! I don't know how much I like the patch sewing part, but I guess it's worth it! Calvin had his first den meeting tonight and he was soo excited! He looked cute enough to eat, too! Too bad his leaders didn't show!

Calvin is the man. I'm excited that is father will get to start braving it out in the wilderness on some camp-outs.
Good luck with scouts. Not my favorite part of being a mother to 4 boys. They do look cute in their uniforms that you spend hours sewing!
Hey, I am Hudson's scout leader and I wish I had Calvin! I can't believe they didn't show on his first night there!!! Horrible! Just wanted to tell you that sewing patches on is no longer required - they have badge adhesive now - you just stick them on! It's at the scout office. Although if I know you - you will probably sew them anyway. sher
I love a grandson in uniform. You look really great, Cal. I was a den mother for a while in my younger days when your dad was a scout. Hope your leaders get the memo for the next meeting.
